Who We Are>Overview Jay Gillespie Jay has a decade of experience in a wide range of visual graphics applications. After graduating from the Art Institute of Houston in 1991, with honors, he began his career in Toy Design and Comic Books. He created the ‘Blockmen’ toy line for DSI Toys in Houston and in the process began to learn how to integrate digital technology into his efforts. After an internship with Easterly & Co., a high-level, award-winning design firm in Houston, Jay went on to launch his career as an illustrator in the Advertising Industry. He created an in-house design and illustration studio at Fogarty Klein Monroe and has been recognized with numerous awards and acknowledgements over the years, but his proudest achievement has been co-founder of Digital Canvas. Vincent Tran Vincent has extensive experience in all forms of art from traditional hand illustrations to web graphics and design. He received a Student Fellowship in Psychology to do scientific illustrations for the psychology and zoology departments at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating with dual degrees in Zoology and Studio Arts, he interned at Fogarty Klein Monroe and was eventually hired as a full-time illustrator and junior art director. During his tenure at FKM, he acquired numerous citations and awards including an Addy for his work with Dell. He left FKM in the spring of 2000 to further his web design skills at Savatech, Inc. There, he worked as team lead for the web design department until the Fall of 2000 when he left to become co-founder of Digital Canvas.
